Aquaculture scientist & skilled researcher
Zachary Cave
Consultant
Zac has degrees in both Coastal and Marine Science (BSc, 2020) and Environmental and Agricultural Science (BSc Honours, 2021) from Curtin University, and is currently finishing his PhD in Aquacultural Science at Curtin University. Zac has extensive experience in a variety of data collection, analytical, and research methods; skillsets he uses to assist and inform Blueshift’s projects. Zac also has experience in project management for research and development of cutting edge, specialised aquaculture techniques and practices.
Outside his role as a researcher, Zac draws on years of experience as a lecturer at Curtin University to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of clientele. These have included Papua New Guinea’s Conflict Islands Conservation Initiative (CICI), Western Australia’s Department of Biodiversity, Conservation, and Attractions (DBCA), and the Cockburn Sound Management Council (CMSC). In doing so, Zac is able to foster fruitful relationships with stakeholders and non-specialist audiences alike.
